Maharashtra Minister Babasaheb Patil cleared loan of ₹42,500 of 65-year-old farmer Ambadas Pawar after a video surfaced where he was seen tying himself to plough to till his land due to inability to afford tractor or oxen. Patil stated the government is determined to address farmers' problems. "Life hasn't given us a choice," Pawar had said on pulling plough.
