Indian-American filmmaker Mira Nair reacted to her son, Zohran Mamdani, winning the New York Mayoral elections. Resharing a post by director Zoya Akhtar, Nair wrote the words, "Zohran, you beauty." The story was also accompanied by Jay-Z's song, 'Empire State Of Mind'. Mamdani will take office on January 1, 2026, becoming the youngest mayor of New York City.
