Mirabai Chanu's family in Imphal celebrate her Asian Games win

Mirabai Chanu won silver medal in the women's 49-kg event at Asian Games 2026 on Wednesday, with a total lift of 198 kg, securing the first Asian Games medal of her career. A video showed her family members celebrating and cheering for her at their residence in Imphal, following the win. Her mother, Saikhom Tombi Leima, said, "We're very happy."
