A cropped video of Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee is being circulated with a misleading claim that it shows him threatening Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) supporters in West Bengal ahead of the state elections. BOOM found that in the larger video Banerjee directed the remarks at Pakistan's Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, in response to his previous comments about India.
