Lebanon's Miss Earth contestant Salwa Akar was stripped of her title after she posed for a picture with Israeli-Arab contestant Dana Zreik. Akar reportedly said Zreik spoke to her in Arabic and she didn't know she was Israeli. Both countries don't share diplomatic relations and the presence of Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon is a major source of tension.
