Iran's Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has said the missile attacks on two US military bases in Iraq were "proportionate measures in self-defence under Article 51 of UN Charter". "We do not seek escalation or war but will defend ourselves against any aggression," Zarif posted on Twitter. Iran launched the attack days after the US killed its General Qassem Soleimani.
