The Mizoram Cabinet on Friday approved the proposed Mizoram Liquor Prohibition Bill, 2019, officials said. Liquor was prohibited in the state from 1997 till January 2015 with the Mizoram Liquor Total Prohibition Act in force. The previous Congress government had allowed opening of wine shops in the state from March 2015.
