Mizoram government has imposed a week-long lockdown in Aizawl Municipal Area starting today. The decision was made to "break the chain of transmission and also to facilitate intensive contact tracing, surveillance and testing," CM Zoramthanga tweeted. The lockdown will end on November 3. The airport and entry points to state via land route will remain open to passengers, Zoramthanga added.
