Mizoram has marked a milestone in its food grain supply chain with delivery of approx 25,900 quintals of rice from Punjab marking the arrival of first cargo train to Sairang railway station. Recent enhancement of railway infrastructure, including Bairabi-Sairang line, has improved connectivity, facilitated economic growth, and boosted tourism, while positioning Sairang as an emerging freight hub.
