The Karnataka Forest Department has announced ₹20 lakh compensation after a leopard attack at Male Mahadeshwara Hills killed young Harshit Gowda. The boy was reportedly attacked while walking with his mother. His family has accused the Forest Department of negligence, alleging that there were no warning boards or safety instructions for devotees visiting the area.
