MMRDA to construct a pedestrian bridge from BKC to Sion-Dharavi

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has proposed to construct a 1.5-km-long pedestrian suspension bridge across the Mithi river, connecting BKC to Sion-Dharavi via Mahim Nature Park. This will reportedly be the longest suspension bridge in India. The bridge will also be a tourist attraction and a bird-watching spot along the Mahim Nature Park, MMRDA officials said.
