Mobile internet and data services have been suspended in Chandigarh, Punjab and Haryana for 72 hours, ahead of the court verdict in a rape case against self-styled godman Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh. Earlier, Section 144 was imposed in Punjab and Haryana, and schools and other institutions were ordered to be shut, as thousands of Singh's supporters reached Panchkula, near Chandigarh.
