Belgian model Hanne Gaby Odiele has revealed she is intersex, in an attempt to help reduce the taboo around the condition. She was born a woman with XY chromosomes more typically found in men as well as internal testes, and without a uterus or ovaries. Odiele said she also wanted to highlight the invasive surgeries carried out on intersex people.
