Modern wheat has 30% less nutrition than before: Ravinder Grover

Since the Green Revolution, seeds have been bred primarily for high yield rather than nutritional value. Ravinder Grover, HarvestPlus COO, reveals that this focus has caused a 30% drop in nutrition in modern crop varieties. While farmers now produce more tons per acre, the nutritional quality of wheat and rice has plummeted compared to traditional varieties.
