Mohali Municipal Corporation plans ₹1 cr rainwater recharge project

Mohali Municipal Corporation is planning a ₹1 crore rainwater harvesting and groundwater recharge pilot project at Mango Garden, Sector 59, under AMRUT 2.0. It will filter stormwater through a 300-ft borewell to replenish groundwater. The move comes as Mohali extracts 117% of its annual replenishable groundwater resources.
