Mohammed Ben Sulayem of the UAE has been elected on Friday as the first non-European president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), the motorsport's world governing body said. Ben Sulayem replaces Frenchman Jean Todt, who is retiring after three terms in office. Ben Sulayem, 60, is a former rally driver and previously served as an FIA vice-president.
