Twenty-nine-year old Malaysian footballer Mohd Faiz Subri was awarded the 2016 FIFA Puskás award, given for the best goal of the year, on Monday. Playing for Penang in a Malaysian Super League match, Subri produced a swerving goal from a 35-yard free kick. Notably, Cristiano Ronaldo and Claudio Ranieri won the best footballer, and best coach awards, respectively.
