Opening up on the breakdown of his relationship with Michael Clarke, ex-Australia all-rounder Andrew Symonds suggested that Clarke might have become jealous when he became the most expensive overseas player at the inaugural IPL auction. "Money does funny things. It’s a good thing, but it can be a poison and I reckon it may have poisoned our relationship," Symonds said.
