Reacting to US slashing the USAID funding worth $29 million meant for Bangladesh, Director General of Bangladesh's NGO Affairs Bureau Anwar Hossain said it doesn't have any record of any such donation. US said it had sent the money to strengthen political landscape in Bangladesh. NGO Affairs Bureau is a government agency providing services to NGOs operating with foreign assistance.
