Fugitive businessman Vijay Mallya recently spoke about the unpaid salaries of Kingfisher Airlines staff and offered an apology to his former employees. "There was money lying in the deposit with the Karnataka High Court. I specifically applied to court to pay the salaries...But the banks rejected it," he claimed. "There was really nothing I could do beyond that," he added.
