The southwest monsoon entered Maharashtra on June 6, staying on schedule despite arriving three days late in Kerala, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said. It has further advanced into Karnataka, the entire Goa, and some parts of Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh. Conditions remain favourable for its further advance over the next 2-3 days, the IMD added.
