Moon could be used as chemical factory for water: NASA
short by Arundhati Rawat / on Thursday, 21 February, 2019
NASA scientists have simulated a "chemical factory-like process" that shows the Moon's surface could be used to create ingredients for water. The simulation showed that when protons in solar wind crash on the Moon's surface at 450 kilometres per second, they create hydrogen atoms. The atoms then interact with oxygen atoms present in lunar soil to make water component hydroxyl.
