A study published in Scientific Reports suggests that the type of government a person lives under may influence their personality and well-being. People residing in less democratic countries reported highest levels of malevolent 'dark triad' traits (Machiavellianism, narcissism and psychopathy). People residing in more democratic countries reported higher levels of benevolent 'light triad' traits.
