A nine-year-old Australian girl’s mosquito bite became severely infected during her family trip to New South Wales, a report said. After scratching the bite, it grew in size and became painful, leaving her unable to walk as it was behind her knee. Doctors diagnosed her with a staph infection, which later turned out to be MRSA, a rare, antibiotic-resistant strain.
