Union Minister Piyush Goyal said nearly all e-commerce firms passed on the benefits of the recent GST rate cuts to consumers and, in many extended additional Navratri discounts. Earlier reports said that Amazon and Flipkart collectively passed on GST rate-cut benefits worth over ₹300 crore in their early "festive sale" days. Goyal added that festive period reflects stronger ‘Swadeshi’ sentiment.
