Most hardcore gamers no longer buy full-price games: Survey

Over 60% of highly engaged gamers no longer buy video games at full price, according to a new survey by IGN Entertainment, Kantar and UC Berkeley. Only 20% of Gen X players aged 46 to 61 still buy games at launch prices, the survey said. Meanwhile, 38% of millennials and 42% of Gen Z gamers purchase full-price games.
