Mother, daughter killed over witchcraft claims in Jharkhand

A 70-year-old woman and her 24-year-old daughter were killed within a fortnight by villagers accusing them of witchcraft in West Singhbhum, Jharkhand. Their bodies were burnt and dumped in a forest. Police have detained stepson Tribhuvan Birua and others. The bodies are yet to be recovered.
