Thiruvananthapuram native Bindu S, the mother of Nimisha alias Fathima, urged Indian government to bring her daughter and 4-year-old grandchild back from Afghanistan. Nimisha and three other women had left Kerala allegedly to join the Islamic State. All four were imprisoned in Afghanistan in 2019. It's being speculated that they are currently in Kabul after a Taliban jailbreak freed them.
