Actress Kamya Punjabi recalled her difficult childhood, revealing that she often fell sick and once contracted tuberculosis when awareness about the disease was limited. "I was getting sick every 15 days. Eventually, we found out...my food pipe was bent and I needed surgery," she added. Kamya further said her mother sold her jewellery, including her mangalsutra, to fund her treatment.
