Mother wins marathon barefoot for daughter's education

Ramabai Ranveer, 47, from Beed's Ambajogai, won the Amrit Daud marathon by running barefoot in a sari after her slippers began slipping. She had entered the race hoping to win the Rs 3,000 prize for her daughter's education. Ramabai overtook hundreds of younger competitors and finished first, earning a standing ovation before dedicating her prize to her daughter's studies.
