Scientists have named a mountain on the Moon, that towers above the landscape carved by craters near the South Pole, after NASA mathematician and computer programmer Melba Roy Mouton. The mountain now is referred to as "Mons Mouton". "The lunar landmark naming honors and recognizes Mouton's life, her accomplishments...and her contributions to NASA’s missions," the agency said.
