In a conversation with Raj Shamani, Shahida Parveen, Deputy SP Jammu & Kashmir Police, revealed that mountainous terrains make encounters unpredictable and dangerous. It’s difficult to do encounters in the mountains as the terrain, dense forests, and delayed reinforcements often give terrorists the advantage, she said.
