Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday appointed Arun Sao as new President of its Chhattisgarh unit. The 53-year-old MP from Bilaspur belongs to the Sahu community and was first elected to Lok Sabha in 2019. He will replace tribal leader Vishnu Deo Sai. The development comes ahead of Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh which are scheduled to take place next year.
