Madhya Pradesh High Court has temporarily halted live streaming of hearings in criminal cases from September 15. This comes in the wake of a PIL, which argued that video clips from streams are being edited into reels and memes, and shared on social media in ways that misrepresent proceedings. The court ordered unrestricted Webex links for viewing, but disallowed recording.
