Justice Vishal Mishra of the Madhya Pradesh High Court recused himself from an illegal mining case, alleging that BJP MLA Sanjay Pathak tried to call him to discuss the case. Notably, Pathak's firms have been accused of ₹520 crore worth of illegal mining in MP's Katni and Jabalpur. The judge requested that the matter be assigned to another bench.
