MP minister orders probe into urban body procurement scam

MP Minister Pratima Bagri ordered a high-level departmental inquiry after a viral video showed Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Dubey exposing procurement irregularities in urban bodies. Officials found phenyl bought for Rs 33,500/litre and LED bulbs for Rs 11,800 against standard rates, causing an estimated Rs 250 crore loss on Rs 1,134 crore in GeM purchases.
