MP's Additional DGP (Training) Raja Babu Singh directed all police training centres to hold Bhagavad Gita recital sessions for their recruits to help them lead a "righteous" life. Congress called it "an unconstitutional attempt to saffronise the police". Singh had earlier suggested homesick trainees to recite verses from Ramcharitmanas after multiple requests for training centres closer to home.
