MSMEs closed so far in FY23 surpass those closed in 2016-22: Govt
Number of Udyam-registered MSMEs that have closed so far in FY23 has surpassed number of MSMEs that closed between 2016 and 2022, Minister of State for MSMEs BPS Verma said. A total of 10,729 MSMEs closed in FY23 against 10,067 MSMEs that closed between 2016 and 2022. In FY22, over 6,000 MSMEs shut down with over 42,600 people losing jobs.
