Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, United States features the sculptures of heads of four US presidents- George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. The work on the Mount Rushmore National Memorial began in 1927 and finished in 1941. Known as the ‘Shrine of Democracy’, the monument hosts over 2 million tourists annually.
