Spanish tennis player Garbine Muguruza retained the title at the Monterrey Open after former world number one Victoria Azarenka retired in the final when the scoreline read 6-1, 3-1, in Muguruza's favour. "It's unfortunate I couldn't give my best today," said a tearful Azarenka, who had not previously reached a final since her first child's birth in December 2016.
