Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries has secured a general licence from the US to directly buy Venezuelan oil without violating sanctions, Reuters reported. The licence authorises the purchase, exportation, sale and refining of Venezuelan-origin oil that has already been extracted. The conglomerate reportedly had to stop buying Venezuelan oil in early 2025 following US sanctions.
