Mukherjea recalls growing up in a poorly maintained Delhi flat
Author Saurabh Mukherjea said on a podcast that his habit of anticipating crises stemmed from his upbringing. He grew up in a low-cost Delhi Development Authority (DDA) flat in Delhi where "the roof literally used to fall in" because the landlord skipped maintenance. His parents later migrated to the UK, he added.
