Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced that the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train will "start very soon", reducing travel time to just two hours and seven minutes. Vaishnaw, while virtually flagging off new trains, stated that work on the project is progressing rapidly. The train will cover 508 km, running from Mumbai to Ahmedabad at a top speed of 320 kmph.
