Mumbai doctors remove large pituitary tumour in 50-year-old

Doctors at Apex Superspeciality Hospital, Borivali, removed a large pituitary tumour from a 50-year-old man experiencing worsening vision. The tumour was compressing his optic nerves. Surgeons used an endoscopic endonasal approach to remove it without opening the skull. The patient recovered satisfactorily and was discharged five days after surgery.
