A couple from Mumbai's Powai and their daughter were booked for allegedly cheating a diamond trader of ₹1.50 crore after promising him an imported diamond laser-cutting machine. The accused had convinced the trader to buy the laser machine at ₹1.3 crore and quoted their commission at ₹15 lakh. They told him that the delivery was affected due to Russia-Ukraine war.
