Central Railway is building a new 29-kilometre rail line connecting Karjat and Panvel, set to finish by December 2025. This ₹491 crore project aims to ease congestion on the busy route and improve connectivity to Navi Mumbai International Airport from Pune. The line will feature tunnels, bridges, and increased train frequency, enhancing travel and boosting regional transport infrastructure.
