Mumbai man cheated of ₹2.5 lakh by fraudster posing as cab agent

A Mumbai resident was cheated of ₹2.5 lakh by a cyber fraudster when he tried to book a cab to visit his hometown in Gujarat. The 30-year-old victim, Nazir Abla, lost his money after being asked by the fraudster to make a "confirmation payment" of ₹101 using a link, police said. The complaint was registered at the Aarey sub-police station.
