Mumbai man poisons, strangles daughter for opposing his remarriage

A 45-year-old Mumbai carpenter allegedly poisoned his 20-year-old daughter's chicken biryani before strangling her over her opposition to his remarriage, police said. The accused, Sharif Raza Hussain Khan, allegedly planned to kill his younger daughter too, but she escaped by staying at her aunt's house. Doctors spotted strangulation marks, leading to his arrest in Wadala.
