Maharashtra has approved Mumbai Metro Line 5A, an 11.83 km extension connecting Durgadi to Kalyan and Ulhasnagar. Part of a ₹18,130 crore project, the integrated 34 km corridor will link Thane, Bhiwandi, and Kalyan. Featuring double-decker infrastructure and improved connectivity, it is expected to ease congestion, cut travel time, and boost suburban mobility.
