Mumbai Police is planning the launch of mobile canteens to cater to cops on duty by providing them healthy snack options. The idea was conceived after Mumbai police commissioner Dattatray Padsalgikar expressed concern over his colleagues often eating junk food and unfiltered water, during their long hours of duty. Notably, 78 policemen died of heart attack between 2014 and 2016.
